DIY tie-dye band shirt

To make a shirt like this is SIMPLE!

Step 1: Buy a pack of cheap white t-shirts, spray paint, cut out letters, dye.
(for this shirt I used acrylic paint watered down)

Step 2: to get this pattern take your shirt by the tail in one hand, and the sleeves and neck by the other and twist, wrapping rubberband radomly down the twist.

Step 3: Prepare choice of dye colors
Step 4: Be creative! You dont have to keep your dye neat and seperated between rubber bands! Let some colors seep through!

Step 5: Depending on your dye, you may have to let the shirt set for several hours, do as directed on box.

Step 6: After your dye has processed in the shirt and you have washed the dye out and dried; time to spray paint! Lay your letters out on your shirt and carefully spray. You may need paper to cover parts of the shirt that may be in the line of fire that you dont want to spray! Again, be creative!

Step 7: Wait.....let the paint dry, wash, and pull out scissors!

Step 8: cut the neck ring out of the shirt (head hole?) and then stretch that hole to desired "slankyness"

Step 9: Taaadahhhh you have yourself a 80s beatup homemade shirt!
